Bridge Partnership After School Club
Welcome to the Bridge Partnership After School Club
(Registration and booking forms can be found at the bottom of this page and are also available from the After School Club and the school office.)
BREAKFAST CLUB / AFTER SCHOOL CLUB / HOLIDAY PLAY SCHEME
We are keen to support working parents and offer children a variety of fun activities at our OFSTED registered Breakfast Club, After School Club and Holiday Play Scheme.
Breakfast Club is open from 7.45am. Children are offered breakfast on arrival, which is a choice of cereals, toast and fruit juices or milk. They are then able to read, draw, colour, play board games, chat to friends until the start of school when they are escorted to their classroom or taken to Holmwood School by the “walking bus”.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Children attending the After School Club are given a healthy snack, which is freshly prepared by the After School Club team. We are sensitive to each child's needs and cater for cultural/dietary requirements.
After snack children are taken outside (weather permitting) and the play workers guide and support them in their play. Play continues inside, in ‘The Club House’, where a variety of games, cars, dolls and a home corner are provided. We also have a weekly 'theme' for art and craft activities. There is a quiet area available during all sessions for those children who wish to read or rest. Our play workers are constantly undertaking training in order to provide the best service for your children and maintain the high standards parents have come to expect from the Holmwood and Ashbrook schools. All staff are appropriately DBS checked and we always have a first-aid trained member of staff on duty.
A ‘walking bus’ service is operated from Ashbrook School to collect children from Holmwood School at 3.10pm.
We offer half sessions from 3.00 – 4.30pm and full sessions from 3.00 - 6.15pm:
On arrival all children go to ‘The Club House’ for snack and then indoor activities or outside for games etc. until they are collected.
Door entry is via the main pedestrian gate using the buzzer system. You will then be able to collect your child, given any messages and asked to sign your child.
If, in an emergency, you need to appoint someone to collect your child, other than those named on your registration form, you must telephone us first and give us a password, which they must use or we will not permit your child to leave the premises.
If your child has medication in school, ie: inhalers, Epipens etc., please arrange for the After School Club to have one for our medical box for emergency use. You will also need to complete a medicine permission form.
HOLIDAY PLAY SCHEME
Our Holiday Play Scheme is always popular and we aim to offer a range of fun activities to keep your children busy and entertained during the holidays.
As this facility is always popular, please book early to avoid disappointment. Our Holiday Play Scheme is open to older and younger school age siblings up to the age of 12. Activities are tailored to the age groups booked into the play scheme.
Breakfast will be available to all children arriving between 8.00-8.45am. You will need to supply your child with a packed lunch, although healthy snacks and drinks will be provided.
Please ensure you complete a registration form for your child and keep us informed of any changes to your contact details. This will enable us to contact you immediately in case of emergency.
At the start of each half term, parents will need to have completed a booking form, detailing all sessions required for that period. This will help us to plan staffing, refreshments and activities in advance. All forms are available from the After School Club and the school office.
If you are unable to book in advance, due to shift patterns etc and you require your child to attend on an ad-hoc basis, we will need to know which sessions you require on the Monday of each week and receive payment that day.

Unfortunately, we are unable to ‘swap’ pre-booked sessions without the required notice.
Please be aware that we operate a behaviour policy for children attending the After School Club, Breakfast Club and Holiday Play Scheme. This includes a zero tolerance approach to poor behaviour. We record such incidents and repeated incidents will result in children being asked to leave the Club. Any deliberate damage to toys or equipment will be charged to the child’s parent/carer as appropriate.
